Goldblood Horses

Goldblood Horses
Goldbloods are a breed of horses unique to FFH which are purchased with Goldblood Tokens and Add-On Points, both of which can be purchased in the Pro Shop. You purchase Goldbloods in the Pro Shop here after obtaining Goldblood Tokens/Add-On Points.

Goldblood horses can have unique colors and markings and you may select the age, gender, color, distance, and surface of the horse. They are typically slightly better than your average Horse Trader type horse, but are not guaranteed to be superstars, as there is still some degree of randomness in the script. Though they can still vary in quality, they are guaranteed to have no genes worse than Fair and should usually end up at least G3 racing quality. They will also be at least Average producers.
Special Racing Rules
Goldblood horses are the only horses that can enter Goldblood races. These are noted on race cards as GB. However, Goldblood horses are still eligible for all other races. You can enter them in any other race you wish, though you're always encouraged to enter Goldblood races whenever possible. There are no other special rules regarding racing Goldblood horses with the exception of series races. During series races (Trinities, WCF, Gemstones), Goldblood horses have their own races within the series and MAY NOT enter the normal races in the series.
Special Breeding Benefits
The primary breeding benefits of Goldblood are that they have a higher base foal limit than other horses and they are minimally average producers. Note: The higher base foal limits apply only to 100% purchased Goldblood. Bred Goldbloods will have the same base foal limits as other horses.
Purchasing a Goldblood
Standard Options
The Goldblood Token will allow you to purchase a base Goldblood horse. This includes any of the standard colors, except black, and markings, either gender, any of the allowed ages, any of the normal distance categories, and one surface.
Add-On Points
Add-On Points allow you to further customize and beautify your horse to be something beyond the standard horse. These are used to add unique colors, unique markings, extended distance ranges, dual surface, and steeplechase abilities. Add-Ons cost various prices, which are indicated on the Goldblood designer.
Special Color Tokens
Special color tokens allow you to further customize and beautify your horse with rare and unique colors. These include Dun, Silver, Roan, Cream, and Pangare Tokens. These Tokens appear in the Pro Shop at different times at various prices based upon rarity.
Lucky Clover
Use a Lucky Clover when buying a Goldblood to increase your chances of getting a horse with improved stats and/or genetics. This is available for purchase in the Pro Shop.

We've been tweaking some economy balance things the past couple of weeks. These changes include adjustments to: tack prices, ultrasound & mare check-up fees, breeding pass suggested values & raffle cost, partnership payback, blood range costs (for Savvy & up), and suggested stud fees. There might be a few other little things here and there. All relevant pages (excluding Handbook) should reflect current updated costs/values.

Experience and Well Rested no longer show on horse pages. This is not vital information to know and over-complicates racing for the majority of players. While similar 'personality' traits will still impact races to some degree, this is not something you need to worry about when entering races.

Rusty Recycler can now be fed every 15 minutes! For now, this change comes with no changes to how fast your meter fills or how often you receive Rumpled Packages. We hope this makes it easier for less active players to earn shiny rewards from Rusty. <3

Gelding now has an additional incentive! You will receive a monetary reward any time you geld a horse, provided he is not pensioned and, if retired, has at least 5 foal slots remaining, although their bonus will be reduced if they have less than 10 slots remaining. Gelding also rewards an additional $2,000,000 bonus to their base reward for each Select Sale parent.
