|Finding Race Results
|After your horse runs a race, you'll obviously want to see how they performed. Did they win? Did they lose? Is there something you can do to improve their next race? All of these questions will be answered by finding and viewing their race results. As such an integral part of FFH, there are a number of ways you can view results, whether for your own horses or horses around the site. This page will walk you through all of those options and explain the pros and cons of each.
Stable Results is the page you will want to pay closest attention to. It shows race results for all of your horses for any given race meet. You can find this page by clicking to the Stable tab and then finding the Stable Results link on the left side in the 'Management' section.
This page shows a list of your horses sorted by the racetracks they raced at, listing flat tracks first, then steeplechase tracks, then special tracks. It will let you know what race they ran in, how they placed, and the amount of money (purse) and points they earned (if any). There will also be a yellow exclamation symbol next to horses who have race notes, a red exclamation symbol if the horse received a "handily" note (which means the horse was raced in a grade too low), and a bandaid if the horse was injured. Under the race name, you will see any notes the horse got in the race and their Performance Rating (PR), if you have those purchased through the pro shop.
Fixing race notes for future races is imperative, as it not only improves your horse's performance but also reduces their chances of injury. Because of this, it's an excellent habit to check this page after every race meet (that you enter) to see which of your horses had race notes. The Race Notes Guide linked near the top of the page will help you navigate through your horses' notes.
Tip: You can click on the race note icons, after inspecting the horse's performance in the race, to toggle them off. This makes it easy to tell which notes you've reviewed and fixed!
The second place you can view race results is through any individual horse's Race History page. To find this, go to a horse's page and click Race History on the left sidebar. This option appears for every horse, whether or not you own them.
Race History pages show details about all of the races a horse has ran in the current year, including place, purse, and (importantly) race notes. Race results from previous years can be viewed by clicking the Lifetime link found just above the list of results. You can also find a link to the Race Notes Guide at the top of this page for quick reference.
|The final place you can view race results is through the Race Results page found on the Racing tab. Here, you can view a complete list of recent results from any racetrack. This is a good way to keep an eye on the competition. You can see how your horse ran compared to others and get an idea on what you might need to adjust. It's also a great way to pop in after series races run to see who won!
