|Longevity is displayed on your horse's page as the number of races remaining before your horse starts losing Soundness and a colored bubble. The colors indicate how close to being eligible to retire (6 races) the horse is. Each race removes one race from your horse's longevity, with the exception of 2 year old races, which removes 2 for every race.|
|Soundness contributes to injury chances. Once your horse hits 0 Races remaining , soundness will decline every month until the horse is retired or more longevity is added (using the items mentioned below). Every injury also declines soundness, depending on the severity of the injury.|
|Special Feeds & Items|
|None of the feeds or items listed below are necessary for caring for and managing horses under normal circumstances. However, sometimes you may find that you encounter a situation where a horse is struggling with Longevity and/or Soundness.|
||Eternity is a standard, easily affordable, type of feed sold in the Feed Mill. Eternity will add approximately 3 races to a horse's longevity and can be fed a maximum of 3 times to one single horse. Three servings can increase a horse's career by roughly 1 year. Eternity might decrease Morale when feeding.|
Mineral Blocks are a supplement that you can earn in Rumpled Packages given out by the Rusty Recycler. They will increase Soundness and Longevity and decrease Risk. It can be fed a maximum of 3 times to one single horse. Three servings can increase a horse's career by roughly 1 year. In addition, Mineral Blocks are a great way to get a horse back on track if they've already lost Soundness.
If a horse is fed Eternity and Mineral Blocks, their racing career can be extended by roughly 2 years.
