1. Transitioning - Horses may not transition to steeplechase or driving trials until they have at least 10 racing starts or are at least 6 years old.
2. Maturity - Horses may not breed or run as workout buddies until they have 100% Maturity.
3. Quick Match - Quick Match has been removed from the game.
4. New Year's Resolution - New Year's Resolution has been retired, but replaced with the New Leaf upgrade.
5. Exchange Rate - The exchange rate for trading Breeding Passes for an Import Voucher has been changed to 50 Passes = 1 Voucher.
6. Zodiac Zenith - The tracks (regions) hosting the races are being adjusted so that they're no longer at the Pacific track. The later-year 7F and 9F races are swapping, so that the distances go 7/8/9/7/8/9.

1. Training Auction - Held in February Y51. Consignments will be open in January and all racing horses who meet the requirements (which will be more relaxed than YA) will be eligible for consignment.
2. Events Page - The Events page has a small update to include reminders for a few key dates/events.

September 3rd, 2022 [June B Y50]

1. SIP Updates - AFP requirements for each level have been adjusted, SIP is also now dynamic and can fluctuate over time based on AFP each year a stallion is tested.
2. Bonus Foal Slots - Freshmen stallions (those who have no foals born yet) will receive foal slots based upon the number of outside mares they covered. They earn 1 foal slot per outside mare covered, up to a maximum of 5 bonus slots.
3. Hide Mares - An option has been added to mare Breeding Info pages which will 'Hide' or 'Unhide' mares. When hidden, mares will not show up on Mare Services.
4. Racing / PR Updates - The significance of favorite distance has been decreased, which will result in less penalties (or less PR fluctuation overall) when racing away from favorite distance. The rate at which horses gain and lose Experience has been rebalanced. Horses can no longer suffer random injuries in races. Risk no longer contributes toward chances for major injuries unless it is high enough to trigger a racing note.
5. Gilt - Gilt hooves have a little extra propulsion and don't seem to be impacted by track bias, Gilt eyes keep a keen gaze on their competitors and can easily adapt to any pace in a race.
6. Crafting Updates - Crafting requirements for Blossom Tea and Frozen Nectar have been updated.

1. Care Page - You can now train and feed from a single Care page. All other options (selling, gelding, pasturing, etc.) can be found on the Manage page.

1. PR Penalties - PR penalties for racing away from Favorite Distance have been significantly reduced.
2. Experience - Experience gain/loss has been rebalanced, which should make it easier for young horses and others that have been struggling to gain Experience.

1. Frosting - Frosting markings have been updated and now include a 3rd option. You may need to CTRL+F5 to see the updates.

1. Breeding Info Page - Stallions now show AFP, Grade, and SIP history at the top of the page. All horses show offspring series winners relevant to their breed.

1. Hide Mare - You can now Hide Mare from a mare's Breeding Info page. This will hide (or unhide) her from your Mare Services page. This is helpful for mares you know you don't want to breed in the current year but also don't want to pasture or pension. Hidden mares will automatically be unhidden at the end of year.
2. PR Bug - A bug has been corrected in PRs which may cause some horses to run a few points lower in future races. This decline will be most obvious in horses with high stats and style proficiency. Grade suggestions will be updated as needed after this fix settles in.

1. Victor's Blades - Stallions can now use multiple Victor's Blades so long as they don't exceed the maximum of 30 foal slots.

1. Hypomate - A Hypomate button has been added to pedigrees for all horses to quickly reference how their parents matched.
2. Mare Services - Hypomate buttons have been added to the 'Mares Due' lists in Mare Services.
3. Custom Jockey - You may now rename custom jockeys from the Jockey page.
4. Quick View - A Quick View page is now available for retired geldings.
5. Exercise - Condition and Energy now show on the Exercise page of retired horses.

1. Stud Services Update - Stud Services shows a warning icon when stallions have low Condition.
2. Injuries - Horses can no longer suffer random injuries in races. Injuries only occur when caused by a controllable factor.
3. Risk - Risk can only contribute to chances for a major injury if it is high enough to trigger a race note. Any level of Risk still contributes to minor injury chances.

1. Retired Mares - Retired mares are now eligible to pension for free. This is being offered on a trial basis through at least the end of the Y50 breeding season.
2. Retirement Age - Beginning in Y50, the maximum racing age will be reduced to 10. Horses 11 years and older will be ineligible to enter races and automatically retired from racing.

1. 3YO Races - 3 year old only races for stock and Standardbreds have been added. These include G3 and G2 races of distances appropriate for 3yos.

1. Goldblood Updates - The majority of updates pertaining to Goldbloods are in and functioning - the entire outline of updates and changes on the breed is available in this news post.
2. Training Assistants and Jockey Purses - Updated with assistants becoming substantially cheaper. Charts with a breakdown of these fees can be viewed on their respective pages.
3. Race Preferences - May now be set to include ‘Any Tracks', which will show races at tracks from all regions when searching for races.
4. Forums - You can now 'Subscribe' to forum posts to receive notification of replies. Authors of original posts will automatically receive notifications for replies to their posts.
5. Boosted Horses - Players only receive boosted HT horses for their first 25 horses. If they sell these horses, they will not receive more boosted horses.
6. Distance Bugs - Bugs impacting 2-3 year old favorite distances for Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses, and Paint Horses last year have been fixed for this year. 3 year olds should never have a favorite distance over 9F or 600yds.
7. Race Results - Race result pages have a minor update to make it easier to see placings.
8. Partnership Fees - Partnership purchase fees will be refunded if a horse is sent to the GAO and had not yet earned over $750,000.

April 10th, 2022 [December Y48]

1. Groundwork - Groundwork can gain Maturity, Prime, and Consistency and also reduce Risk. Groundwork already provides a chance to gain Courage, which could be another boon for developing young horses.
2. Long Gallops - Long Gallops now improve Peak and Maturity, making it a natural progression from Groundwork for horses who aren’t mentally or physically ready to race.
3. Goldbloods - Goldbloods will have their own unique races not combined with Thoroughbreds. These races will be held at entirely new tracks, with a new distance range, and will also offer slightly different surface options.
4. Buddy Works - Because each of our breeds has become so unique, each breed will only be able to perform buddy workouts with buddies of the same breed.
5. Stellar Races - Stellar races will also be deactivated beginning in Y49, although it’s possible they’ll return if/when breeds fill out competitive G1 fields.

1. Loot Cratess - Gold Loot Crates have been reimbursed with Crystal Chalices and Green Loot Crates have been reimbursed with Classic Surprise Boxes.
2. Groundwork - Groundwork for racers and Long Gallops have been improved with added benefits.
3. Driving Trials - Driving Trials do not factor in Colt Composure or Filly Power.
4. Horse Sales - All race preferences will now be reset when a horse is sold, leased, auctioned, or claimed.

March 12th, 2022 [May Y48]

1. Retired Stock - Retired Quarter Horses, Paint Horses and Standardbreds no longer suffer from extra Condition loss until they are 20 years or older.
2. Goldbloods - Beginning in Y49, Goldbloods will no longer be sharing races with Thoroughbreds. More details on what's coming for the breed will be announced closer to that time.
3. Standardbreds - Do you like Standardbreds? Get your driving horses lined up and prepaired for 3 mile races. Something unpaircedented is coming soon!

1. Entry Requirements - The 3 entry requirement to earn points has been removed from all races. All races will award full points, as appropriate, according to the chart in the Handbook.

January 25th, 2022 [January Y48]

1. Springo - Springo now has a daily limit of 10 plays for monetary rewards (rather than $100,000). You may continue to play additional games to earn blackout raffle tickets.
2. Stud Services - Stud Services now has a breakdown of mares due in the current year and mares already covered for the upcoming year to make it easier to keep track of foal slots. Players can no longer accept breeding requests if total foals + mares in foal would exceed a stallion's foal limit.

1. Blood Type - Due to a bug with Blood Type inheritance, some unretired horses may have a rerolled from their sire's BT to their dam's BT.
2. Trophy Hall - The Trophy Hall revamp is live! You can view it from your Stable profile page.

1. Basic Wraps - Basic Wraps now have 25 uses.
2. Buddy Workouts - You may now select a jockey and track when performing buddy workouts.
3. Scratching - If you decide to scratch a horse from their race (at a non-home track) after performing a BW at that track your horse will lose Energy.

1. Hill & Dale - The Y48 Hill & Dale will feature races at both 2M and 4M. A new series for Standardbreds will be added to the December lineup featuring races for 2 and 3 year olds as well as a Driving Trial. More info can be found on the Events calendar.

1. Meet Energy - Beginning in Y48, horses will only regain Energy at end-of-month rollovers. Like in off season, Energy gained will be approximately double of what has normally been gained at each meet rollover.

2. Acreage - You can now sell unwanted acreage from the Manage Farm page. Pro members receive 60% of the current purchase rate and non-Pro receive 40%.
